It wasn’t a meeting of the boy scouts, but the message of “be prepared” was delivered repeatedly Saturday in Silver Eagle Group’s first-ever Women’s Self-Defense Seminar.
A group of over 20 women heard classroom instruction teaching them to be more self-aware and how to defend against and escape larger, stronger attackers.
After hearing what they should do, class members then went to the mat and practiced doing what they were hearing, learning everything from making a fist…to what to say…to being aware of a logical progression of force and the tools needed to be confident while defending yourself.
