It consists of various attacks using the fists, elbows, knees and shins, and allows the practitioners to engage at close quarters and attempt to throw, trip and strike their opponent by using head and/or body control. BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. Derived from the Japanese art of Judo, BJJ teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique—most notably by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. Training and competition are done in a uniform known as the Gi or Kimono, and each students rank is identified by a colored belt system, starting with white, blue, purple, brown and black.
SUBMISSION WRESTLING (NO GI)-

Submission Wrestling (also known as submission fighting, submission grappling, sport grappling, or simply as No-Gi) is a general term describing the aspect of martial arts and combat sports that focus on clinching and ground fighting with the aim of obtaining a submission hold. It is a blend of ground grappling (similar techniques taught in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) and standing grappling reminiscent of Olympic style wrestling. Consisting of takedowns and submissions the objective of No Gi is to bring the fight to the ground and control and overcome your opponent. Those interested in grappling or who have had previous high school or collegiate experience in wrestling should look into these classes. Submission Wrestling does not require the student to wear the traditional Gi or Kimono and is a great complement and enhancement of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.
JUDO

Judo is a sport taught and learned worldwide. Judo is a form of grappling that is both on the feet and the ground, and is done wearing a Gi or Kimono and is also ranked by using a colored belt system. The main goal in Judo is the throw. Judo teaches its students, how to fall correctly to avoid injury if being thrown as well as how to grip the opponents Gi to control the opponent and set up the throw or trip. A winner is declared after a big throw is successful. This is referred to as “Ippon” which literally means "one full point", and it is the highest score a competitor can achieve. Our academy teaches how to fall correctly to avoid injury if being thrown as well as how to grip the opponents Gi to control and set up the throw or trip. We recommend anyone interested in grappling come to the Judo classes, as all competitions or fights start on the feet, and Judo can make the student comfortable during the standing portion of grappling.
BOXING

Boxing is an Olympic sport where two combatants of similar weight meet in a ring and try to use punches, footwork, defense, speed and power to beat the other. Victory can be achieved through the K.O (knockout), T.K.O (technical knockout), referee or corner stoppage, or by a judge’s decision. Boxing has several amateur and professional organizations for the student to compete in. Our academy's dynamic techniques and drills include pad work, bag work, sparring, and defense drills.
